On Sunday, November 22nd we will share in our annual community Thanksgiving Celebration. In worship that morning, music will be gifted by Queen City Voices, a community choir that promotes “equality and positive enrichment for the lives of [its] members, the Springfield queen city area LGBTQSA and our community at large,” and is directed by our own Music Director, Jonathan Raney. We will share in a meal after worship; meat will be provided by the church, so please consider bringing a side dish or dessert to share. As we prepare to gather around our community tables, please use this link to indicate what dish you will be bringing, and invite your friends with this facebook event!
One of the simplest gifts we can give is the gift of warm and dry feet. As we celebrate and give thanks, we encourage you to help provide warmth for our brothers and sisters at Bill’s Place and RareBreed by bringing a pair (or two!) of socks as part of our celebration. We look forward to sharing in this time of Thanksgiving with all of you!
