On one of her final stops this week, Louise Jackson came by to say goodbye (from a safe distance). When we say goodbye our practice is to give a candle, a reminder of the light we have shared together. This time Louise gave us the gift of her light, her smile as she saw the flowers blooming. Church looked different today. We met each other in the midst of our lives, digitally. We sang. We prayed. We lit candles and shared our concerns with one another. Sunday night at Dinner Church we took the words of a beloved prayer, The Lord’s Prayer and wrestled deeply with their meaning in our lives and how these words connect with us. One table was a group of cat lovers. They brought their love of cats, humor, wit and stories as they crafted a version for all the cats out there. #thelordsprayer #nacc #dinnerchurch

The lights are ready. The programs are set. Bring your voices as we tell the story that becomes our story again tonight. Love is coming. Love has come.
