An evening with Michael Dowd

We are thrilled to be hosting Rev. Michael Dowd, author of “Thank God for Evolution”, as our guest at National Avenue this coming Thursday evening. As we prepare for this event, we invite you to watch Rev. Michael Dowd’s TedTalk, Why we struggle now.

Invite your friends and family to join us for dessert and coffee this Thursday, November 7th at 7:30pm in the Gallery at National Avenue, as we listen to one of the premier Eco-Theologians writing and lecturing today.

This special evening has been arranged by Dr. John Mihalevich in coordination with the Spirituality Cooperative.

Food stamps cut hurt our community

As reported on KY3 this weekend, food stamp cuts in our nation will impact 1 in 6 families across the Ozarks. One of the organizations we support, Crosslines, featured on KY3, shows our own Kim Zimmerman working in the food pantry.  While continuing to donate our resources and time to organizations like Crosslines will be critical to helping people get food, we are still left wondering, what more can we do?
